If you decide you want us to arrange a cremation there are only a few crematoria to choose from in the local area.
There are two in Northumberland, Cowpen Crematorium at Blyth which is run by Northumberland County Council and Northumberland Crematorium at Bockenfield near Felton which is privately owned.
Cowpen Crematorium service times are every 45 minutes starting at 9.15am running straight through to 3.15pm. (No lunch time break). The chapel can seat up to 60 people and does have wheel chair access however there is no organ at this crematorium.
Music can be played entering/leaving the chapel as well as during the service through the Wesley music system.
Northumberland Crematorium opened in October 2022 and is a very modern building. The chapel can hold 80 people and also has wheel chair access. Services for attended funerals are from 10am running straight through to 3pm.Music can be played through the obitus music system.
Other local crematoria are Whitley Bay and Tynemouth with service times being every 45 minutes starting at 9am running straight through to 3pm (no lunchtime break).
The primary crematorium in the Newcastle area is at West Road which has 2 chapels the East and West with services taking place every 45 minutes. Both have wheelchair access but only the West chapel has an organ.
