Modern Embalming

Modern embalming is performed to preserve the human remains and this is achieved by the use of chemicals which are introduced into the deceased via the circulatory system.

It has a three fold objective:-

  1. Preservation – To slow down the process of decay
  2. Presentation – Helps to restore the deceased to a more life like appearance
  3. Sanitation – To prevent any danger to public health.

A.J.Gascoigne & Son are members of the British Institute of Embalmers and all embalming is carried out by our own highly qualified professionals.
