Modern embalming is performed to preserve the human remains and this is achieved by the use of chemicals which are introduced into the deceased via the circulatory system.
It has a three fold objective:-
- Preservation – To slow down the process of decay
- Presentation – Helps to restore the deceased to a more life like appearance
- Sanitation – To prevent any danger to public health.
A.J.Gascoigne & Son are members of the British Institute of Embalmers and all embalming is carried out by our own highly qualified professionals.
