Covid 19

Woodhorn Cemetery remains open to visitors however everyone must adhere to the social distancing regulations and remain 2 metres apart unless living in the same household.
There are signs reminding visitors of this policy.
This week we have monitored our CCTV and there has been a substantial decrease in the numbers.
I know visiting loved ones gives great comfort to everyone, even more so at this very difficult time.
Please be sensible and observe the rules so the cemetery can remain open.
This situation will be constantly reviewed so please visit the cemetery with respect as you always do and most importantly stay safe!

Woodland Burials now available at Woodhorn Cemetery

We are pleased to announce following recent approval from Northumberland County Council the land adjacent to the south border of the existing Cemetery has been granted ‘a change of use’ from agricultural land to an extension of the existing Cemetery. The land as with the existing Cemetery is owned by A.J.Gascoigne & Son.
Part of the extension will be a new woodland section and the remainder for traditional burials.
This will allow loved ones from this local area to be buried together for generations to come.
As with the existing Cemetery the new extension is exclusively available to clients of A.J.Gascoigne & Son.
Anyone wishing to find out more information about this new development please feel free to contact us.
Over the next few years the new extension will be developed into a place of tranquil beauty with an aim to promote existing wildlife in the woodland area.
